Use manufacturer or store coupons on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligible purchases.

Yes, you may use cents-off coupons issued by a manufacturer or store. In some States where the sale of food items is taxed, you may have to pay sales tax on the amount paid with the cents-off coupon (not the cost of the food itself). If this happens, you cannot pay the tax with your Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits; you must pay it with cash, credit cards, debit cards, or some other form of non-SNAP tender.
